Vintage women’s coat in black wool.
Very nice loose fit, two pockets, 3/4 sleeves, buttoning at the collar with snap buttons.
No lining.

Label : CASTILLO – PARIS

Antonio CASTILLO is a great fashion designer of Spanish nationality who fled his country at the time of the Spanish civil war.
He started by working at Chanel before the start of the 2nd World War and was the designer of the costumes for Jean Cocteau’s film “Beauty and the Beast”.
He worked in the USA and returned to Paris in the early 1950’s to collaborate with the feminine famous french designer Jeanne Lanvin.
Alongside Jeanne Lanvin for about ten years, he left LANVIN to found his own fashion brand in the early 1960’s.
He created costumes for films and theater and received the Oscar for best costume design in 1972.

Missing composition label, however the coat is 100% wool.
