Rare vintage, pre-loved, Hermes scarf named KACHINAS by Kermit OLIVER.
The author of the drawing is an American painter and also the first American artist to have created designs for Hermès.
His work reflects his Texas heritage and his interests in mythology, religion and history.

Kachinas are small dolls that represent spirits familiar to native american Indians in the southwestern United States.
Each doll has a particular function : to offer a gift to a good child, to punish a disobedient child, to help children during the hunt…

First edition in 1992, the scarf was reissued in 1997, 2004 and 2012.
